7 Reasons Why the U.S. Education System Is Failing!Lately, now really, I saw a post of a video on Facebook that comprehensive simple questions posed to university students regarding BASIC societal and historical reality, events and the men and women who govern our nation. Abject failure and an inability to name or identify ANY of the people, places and events. The formal education system at the U.S. was designed to meet the demands of the industrial revolution by providing basic education to the masses. Pretty easy right?

Why is it we fail to recognize or refuse to admit the requirements are different now? This is scary as it will define the collapse of our nation step-by-step and bit-by-bit till we are reduced to a social assortment of ignorance.Let’s examine the cause and solutions.1. Closed for Business!Schools find their presence tied to community standards and fiscal restraints based on the community support… or lack of. The outcome is that colleges are closing at an alarming rate throughout the country. The decision to close a school seldom reflects the requirements of a community or, more importantly, the needs of their students! There seems to be concern for the needs of the communities children’s education compared to the economic demands of the location of their school or the resources out there. Where is the national government when this occurs? Well, they’re partially to blame. The government rhetoric details the demand for cheap, quality instruction while they demand that college systems adhere to specific federal mandates which tie the school government’s hands to comply with political needs. So much for national assistance.2. Two-Gallons of milk in a one-gallon jug! That depends upon whether you’re seeking to teach the kids or be a daycare service. I understand, pretty harsh but look at the function of schools now. Largely providing them with basic food and discipline they rarely get a t home! Oh admin it. Teachers must subject your children in a crowded setting where safety is no longer guaranteed and instruction takes a back seat to providing basic needs that parents are unwilling to, uneducated to or unable to supply. Waitwhat about schooling? Well, there is so little time to get that caring for them requires priority over teaching them.Secondarily, because of the limitations of federally-mandated guidelines, the children are educated in a cookie-cutter style regular of personality-limiting, creative-minimizing and individually-restrictive processes to get them to their maturity. Standard education with basic performance that contrasts children to basic standards that align with everybody else’s fundamental demands. Sad as it’s done in classrooms where teachers have been forced to”teach” more kids than one person could attend . How successful is that?3. How can we expect our kids to shine when their parents are minimally educated. An individual must understand this cycle of bad education will produce more poorly educated kids who will produce more poorly-educated children and so on and so on. Parents are so busy struggling to make a living now due to a poor economy or a lack of opportunity that there is little time to attend their children’s schooling at home let alone at school. Involvement can be critical particularly when the parents are minimally educated since they lack the foresight and experience to guide a young person to the right path. The result is a continually-repeated system that fails students and undermines this country’s future. It matters not whether you’re poor and trying hard to earn a living that does not allow for a while to educate your children at home OR if your well off and fight to keep a livelihood that does not allow for a while to attend your kids in your home. Either way, the schooling suffers.4. I was told I was stupid. I had been told that I could never understand because I lacked the basic ability to comprehend or understand anything a normal person was expected to understand. Can you imagine? Well, today I am needing a doctorate in education. Highly educated holding several levels and formally recognized because of my teaching abilities and performance as a teacher. If a young child is to be contested then the child has to recognize their worth and value as an individual. EVERY child is gifted and gifted in something and should be recognized for it immediately and consistently. Oh , failure occurs but that is part of this lesson as well. Individualized learning platforms and initiatives are vital to the support and future of instructional success. The gifted and talented programs require that a kid be recognized and innovative due to their special gift rather than the initiative being available to ALL students. I believe that EVERY child has the opportunity to show their gift if given the chance to allow it to reveal itself. Why restrict other children’s opportunity to excel because someone did not recognize their talents? Beyond me.
